Attendance
At our school, our foremost goal is to optimise the learning and growth of each child. This necessitates a collaborative effort among the school, pupils, and parents to uphold the values and standards outlined in our home-school agreement.
Ensuring every child's access to full-time education is not just a privilege but a fundamental right. It is incumbent upon parents, our children, and school staff to join forces in ensuring that each child is provided with the best possible opportunities to realise their full potential.
Extensive research underscores a direct correlation between poor attendance and diminished academic performance. It is evident that irregular school attendance significantly jeopardises young people's educational journey, their future prospects, and overall life opportunities.
We will send home every family a termly email that states your childs attendance in school and how we can work together to achieve 'impressive' attendance.
Dear Parent
RE: Half Term Letter about attendance
Each half term we will update you on your child's attendance for this current academic year.
As a school, we have a minimum expected school target of 96% attendance and we aim to work with students in achieving this. We appreciate that your child will, at times , be unwell. These letters do not focus on this, but where we see a pattern or concern, as this will have an impact on the emotional/social and academic progress your child makes at school.
Please find the attendance figure for your child's so far this academic year.
Attendance percentage 93.48 %
We would appreciate your continued support in promoting your child's attendance and to work with us as a school if there is a need. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us either by emailing the school office or by contacting Mrs Stangroom.
Yours sincerely
Mrs R Blake
